Finger Print Art

Engagement Time

20 minutes

Finger Print Art is a very easy way to improve your little one’s fine motor skills and creativity as they create unique pictures with a personal touch.

Materials Required

Finger Print Art
  • Paint on a sponge or an ink pad
  • Paper or cardboard (if making a card)
  • Paper Towel/wet wipes - to wipe fingers clean after finger painting.
  • Marker pens and coloured pencils.

Method

This is a very simple activity which your little one will love.  You simple have your little one pop one finger into the paint or onto the stamp pad and make finger prints onto the piece of paper.  Once they have a number of finger prints they can then add features to each one to turn it into a picture.  Your little one is limited only by your combined imaginations and the time you have to create hundreds of little pictures.
