Memory
Engagement Time
15 Minutes
Memory is designed to improve your little one’s short term memory and concentration while teaching them the rules of turn taking in game play.
Materials Required
Pairs of cards such as sight words, playing cards, business cards, paint sample cards or even design your own cards using thick cardboard or photos.
Method
This is a brilliant game which has very few rules other than to place the card back from where you got it. All you need to do to play is to simply place the cards in symmetrical rows and take it in turn to reveal two cards at a time. As a pair is found the person who revealed the pair gets to keep the pair and has another turn. Once all the cards have been taken the person with the most cards wins. Note: You may wish to use descriptive language to assist your little one in remembering where each card is, as the more time and effort they spend on each card, the better it will be remembered.
