Number Poster

Engagement Time

Number Poster is designed to improve your little one’s number recognition and counting skills.

Materials Required

Number Poster

Cardboard Glue Marker Pens/Pencil/Crayons Ruler Buttons/Pasta/Peas

Method

For this activity you will need to begin by ruling the cardboard into 10 equal sized boxes. You can then draw one number from 1 to 10 into each box. Your little one can then count out the required number of pieces and glue these onto each number. You now have a chart your little one can refer to if they need to read a number and are not sure what it is they can count the objects and know the number. Extension: Before gluing the pieces into place you may wish to play with various ways of displaying the given number to teach conservation of number and that 5 will still be 5 whether it is set as one line, 2 on the top and 3 on the bottom or 1 on the left and 4 on the right.
