Perspective Drawing
Engagement Time
10-20 Minutes
Perspective Drawing is designed to improve your little one’s drawing ability and develop lateral thinking.
Materials Required
- Pencil
- Paper
- Object to draw
Method
Most children are able to draw and identify pictures of items from a forward facing perspective. Yet they have difficulty when shown the same item from a side on or top view. Instead of just drawing objects from the front have children view them from above and below and then draw them.
Note: If your little one is having difficulty grasping the concept of dimensional drawing you may wish to start by take photos of objects from an unusual perspective and have them try to identify the item in the photo and then possibly copy it if they are able.
