Story Swap is designed to improve your little one’s imagination and story telling skills.

Method
Requiring absolutely no materials this activity is based around you telling your little one a story with a difference. In this story you would use a story your little one knows quite well such as the Three Little Pigs but swap the main characters for alternate animals, friends or family members. While telling the story have your little one offer assistance in thinking up new ways the story could finish or take a dramatic turn in the middle such as The Three Little Puppies who made their homes out of bones; dirt and corrugated iron and how the rain tried to come inside.
Extension: Once you have made up the story you may wish to write it into a book and have your little one be the illustrator of their own stories which you can reread at a later time.
